Adil Durrani, the husband of reality star Rakhi Sawant, has been detained by Mumbai Police after the latter filed a FIR against him on the grounds that he mismanaged her money.
Adil Durrani was the subject of an IPC Section 406 and 420 FIR lodged by the Oshiwara Police. Later that evening, the police amended the FIR to include sections 498(A) and 377 of the IPC as well. On Wednesday, Adil will be brought before the court.
Outside the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai, Rakhi made the following claims to the media: “When Adil (the attacker) came to beat me at home in the morning, I dialled 911. He comes to my house frequently and threatens me. Even today he came to beat me at home, and I was scared. He said that you defamed me in the media.”

When we went to Rakhi’s residence the day after our mother passed away to give her food, we saw that Rakhi’s face was swollen. She was sobbing, and when our family questioned her, she admitted that Adil had hit her the day before our mother died “Brother of Rakhi stated.
The circumstances of Rakhi and Adil’s argument surface just days after Rakhi’s mother passed away.
