Samsung’s Good Lock, a popular customization tool for One UI, is set to become more accessible in 2025 as the company expands its availability globally and adds distribution through the Google Play Store. Previously limited to specific regions and accessible only via the Galaxy Store, Good Lock allows users to deeply personalize their Samsung devices without requiring root access or complex modifications. With this change, more users will be able to unlock its powerful features alongside the rollout of One UI 7.

Good Lock has been a staple for Samsung users seeking greater control over their device’s software. From enhancing the Samsung launcher to enabling innovative features like running apps on the Galaxy Z Flip’s cover screen, the tool addresses limitations in One UI and provides practical solutions to common user challenges. With One UI 7, Samsung is taking Good Lock to the next level by ensuring it is available in “all” countries, broadening its appeal to a global audience.

The company confirmed this exciting development through a forum post, where a representative stated that Good Lock in One UI 7 would be universally accessible. Alongside this expansion, the app will now be distributed via the Google Play Store, making it more convenient for users who previously relied solely on the Galaxy Store.

In addition to its wider availability, Good Lock is also receiving a major redesign to enhance its user experience. Samsung revealed that the app’s main interface has been overhauled for improved usability, featuring a new layout that includes filters for specific Good Lock modules and a “My Page” tab for better management of installed apps. The company also mentioned that several Good Lock apps not yet compatible with One UI 7 will be updated soon.

Currently in beta on the Galaxy S24 series, One UI 7, based on Android 15, is expected to officially launch with the Galaxy S25 series later this month, bringing these exciting changes to Samsung’s ecosystem.
