The official trailer for the upcoming spy thriller Inheritance, which stars Phoebe Dynevor, a Bridgerton alum, has been released by IFC Films. On January 24, 2025, the movie is expected to be released in theatres.

Alongside Alden Ehrenreich, Dynevor featured in the 2023 thriller Fair Play on Netflix. She presently has two more thrillers in the works, Jan Komasa’s Anniversary with Zoey Deutch and Jody Hill’s Famous with Zac Efron.

What happens in the Inheritance Trailer?

In the video, Dynevor plays a woman who, when her mother dies, becomes into a spy. It highlights the action scenes in the film, which are filmed using a guerilla-style approach that is uncommon in the genre.

Neil Burger (Divergent, Limitless) co-wrote the screenplay with Olen Steinhauer and is the director of Inheritance. The R-rated movie also stars Majd Eid (Farha) as Khalil Jamal, Byron Clohessy (City on a Hill) as Doug, Kersti Bryan (Perry Mason) as Jess, Ciara Baxendale (My Mad Fat Diary) as Emily, and Rhys Ifans (House of the Dragon) as Sam. Jackson Hunt and Nick Carew are the cinematographer and editor, respectively, and Bill Block, Burger, and Charles Miller are the producers.

“When Maya (Dynevor) learns that her father was once a spy, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an international conspiracy. In her quest for answers, Maya becomes a target and must travel the globe, mastering her father’s skills and unraveling the mysteries of his past in this gripping espionage thriller,” reads the official synopsis.
