What was your background before you became an entrepreneur?
One of my first jobs was in the IT department for a MP3 player manufacturing company. I liked working on the tech side of the music industry, but I also really wanted to work directly with artists and musicians. I connected with a friend who worked in the music and entertainment industries and ended up entering the industry myself. It was the best choice I ever made.
What made you decide to become an entrepreneur?
At first, I thought we could compete with the large Korean entertainment companies. I wanted to get into the industry and really shake things up that way. When that didn’t work out, I decided to try something else no one thought was possible, and put artists from two different continents together on a record. That led to some big successes.
What traits of yours do you think most contributed to your success?
I like to be open-minded, and I’m not afraid to try new things. The second you get into that way of thinking is the second you close yourself off from new opportunities.
