The 22 year old Instagram Sensation has over 60k Followers on Instagram and is the owner of LA’s Influencer Agency, The HQ Agency.

We were fortunate enough to be able to sit down and speak to Alessia the social media phenomenon to talk about her thoughts on social media.

Hey, Alessia thank you so much for taking time out of your day to sit and answer some questions with us. Firstly do you have any advice you would like to give to budding social media influencers?

“Of course it’s a pleasure. The best advice I can give is that you need to find your niche. A common mistake that lots of Influencers make is that they want to try and cover so many different topics to develop their brand. Find 1 or 2 topics that really interest you and start using social media to talk about it.“

“Moreover you have to be consistent with your posts. You won’t achieve success as a social media influencer if you post a lot at the beginning of your Social Media Career and then severely scale back your posting. Be consistent with your posts and maintain relevance for your followers.”

How do you feel about the influencer title?

“I speak to a lot of my Influencer friends about this one and I know lots of people see the word Influencer as a negative but I don’t. As a Fashion and Lifestyle Influencer we help guide our followers to ideas on how to dress or what to buy so I really don’t see it as a negative and as an Influencer I don’t really see myself as that Title specifically as I have a name and I am a person not just a social media Star.”

How long have you been an influencer for?

“I have been an Influencer now for around 6 years. It’s gone so fast now that I’m thinking about it What are some of your favourite campaigns you’ve worked on?

“Ooo that’s a good one. I’m fortunate to have worked with over 500 brands but I think out of all of them I really love working with Pretty Little Thing, Mugler Perfume and Fashion Nova. Their are so many more brands that I have loved collaborating with but those 3 are the ones that stand out the most.”

Why do you love social media?

“I would say because of the opportunities it has given me, not only that but the people that I have met through Social Media and the brands that I have worked with, it’s all of them really. Their are a lot of negatives about social media but you just have to be aware of it and that’s what I like to tell people.”

How many hours a week do you spend working as an Influencer and all that goes with it?

“I don’t think people understand how much time effort and planning goes into it, but it’s a lot. I would spend around an average of 6/7 hours a day working on Social Media. That includes Finding instagrammable locations, Taking photos, Editing photos, choosing captions and hashtags all of it.”

What equipment do you use (Camera/software/editing apps)? “

I usually have someone take photos for me on my Nikon Camera or with their Camera’s or if I’m alone I’ll use my IPhone 14 Pro Max and then my Tripod. To edit I love Snapseed, VSCO and Facetune and UNUM to help with the layout of my Feed.”

How do brands generally contact you?

“It’s either DM’s or Emails for me. Sometimes I’ll go to Influencer Events and then I’ll meet someone with a Brand and they’ll ask if I can create some content for them. If a brand wants to work with you, they’ll contact you in anyway.”

What are some dream brands you would like to work with?

“I would love to work with Revolve as I just love their pieces as well as the obvious, the designer brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes. All of the big ones for sure.”

Lastly Alessia, There are many who aspire to be like you, what would be your advice for them?

“I would say be true to who you are, stay true to your content and never switch away from your real Niche. Lots of micro Influencers try and switch up their Niche when either their following is not growing or it’s not getting the reach it should but I say just stick to it because the following and the reach will come you’ve just got to stay with it. I would also say be different, be creative and be you.”
