Being a Virgin Islands native, “Smooth” did not need to assimilate to much as he brought his own roots and flavor to the Miami music culture. His music is a fusion of his Caribbean culture, along with pop culture that he loves, and the essence from his favorite genre R&B; mixing all those things is what makes his music unique. Carnival also plays a big role in the type of music he writes and sings; which is further influenced by a combination of Pop, R&B, Dancehall and Afro beats. Smooth says his biggest musical influences are superstars like Michael Jackson, whose stage presence and voice were unique. Also R&B artists like Usher, Trey Songz, and Drake, who he’d love to collaborate with in the future. His one message to his fans would be that he appreciates everyone for taking the time to listen to his music & share it with their friends.
