What makes you stand out from others in your field?
Our 18+ years of printing experience taught us how to handle any size order on any deadline without quality being sacrificed. We are also a full service company, meaning we can assist you with building your order, creating your artwork, rush deliveries, any customization method, and we produce in our state-of-the-art facility. Many competitors do one or two of those things well, but we handle every component. We understood from the very beginning that our customers know what they want, but they don’t necessarily do artwork or know which product to choose. Our team meets them wherever they have questions and provides solutions quickly.
What was a major challenge you had to overcome in getting to where you are today?
Working with family becomes more difficult as you grow. Your problems grow in quantity and magnitude, and each leader/family member has their own way of solving those problems. My brother and I would frequently disagree about the budgets, prioritization, and execution of projects. Our employees struggled to understand who was in charge and what they should focus on. In the end, role designation saved us. I took over marketing, technology, accounting, HR, and production. My brother took over sales, service, and art. My sister took over order review, order quality, and post-delivery customer service. Something so obvious yet so important allowed us to keep the business moving forward.
How did you learn how to run a business like this?
I didn’t realize it at the time, but being the son of two entrepreneurs teaches you a lot about business. Through my parents successes and failures, I learned many lessons of what to do, but more importantly, what not to do. We removed many of thear risks they encountered in their business from the beginning.
