I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it. ~ Thomas Jefferson, former President of the United States
The wonder boy Shubham Gupta, popularly known as Pallu Gupta hails from Meerut ,Uttar Pradesh is the best suitable person to the above lines said by Thomas Jefferson
In 2011, Pallu was 17 years old and studying in intermediate, CBSE Board .
It was the day of his result. So he went to cyber cafe to check out the same.
But sadly, he got failed in Mathematics.
Thinking about the possible Angry reaction of his Father he did not go home from the cafe instead he went directly to the Railway station and spent the whole day there. Till the afternoon, his mind was filled with many negative thoughts buzzing with every passing minute, Some of them were even suicidal.
But then he started noticing his surroundings, there were many homeless people and beggars at the station, they even didn’t have proper clothes to cover their body, they were wearing torn clothes and the kids were looking hungry and fighting for the basic food items.
And most of their parents were handicapped and helpless, even some of them having maggots in their heads and wounds.
All these things reminded him that the biggest and real problems in life were something much more than his failure problem. This incident turned the little kid from boy to mature man, he went home thinking about these people and from the very next day he started to help the needy from himself, with whatever little he was able to do.
Meanwhile he read about the legend Sahid Bhagat Singh, the greatest freedom fighter of all time.
He got inspired from him, and this made him realise the need of a team and what team work can do and achieve miracles, which is impossible as a individual.
So in 2012 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh , he Founded a NGO based on the Ideology of the Saheed Bhagat Singh. Pallu Gupta is the Proud founder and National President of Angry Youth NGO. Now with his great effort and hard work and he has spread his Teams and branches in cities like and Kanpur, Agra, Surat, Firozabad, Gorakhpur, Mujjaffarpur, Delhi and Mumbai.
He has been involved in the social service from past ten years and certainly he has achieved a lot. During these years, he and his hardworking team has organised more than 400 social events like Food drives, Ration donation drives, Clothes donation, Awareness programs, Plantation events, Health care Events etc.
Even now, they are running many projects, and one of their’s most important project is “Parwah” in which sanitary pads are given to women during their mensuration period who lives in slums.
Another one is “Adopt the Hunger” in which they provide a food kit on a monthly basis to the needy peoples who are physically or mentally unfit and one of their amazing project is “Padhoge likhoge to bnoge nawab” in which underprivileged children are given free education to build special skills and habits in them.
Even during corona pandemic period when the whole world was inside their house. he and his team was on roads, performing their duty by feeding and providing food to more than 1200 migrant worker and needy ones on daily basis.
Many media houses and social organisations have admired and honoured him for his immense contribution towards the society.
He is a well Educated young Personality and has graduated with B.com and LLB, Post graduated with MAJMC, and have the PGDFCS Diploma, Now he is pursuing PGDWGS and CSWCJS from IGNOU.
He is advocate by profession and his dream is to be an IPS officer to make sure that all the victims in our society get justice.
In these past 10 years a set of a challenges has been faced by him and on the main challenge was to win the trust and confidence of the people to get involved in social services and join Angry Youth, as the image of social service based ngo,s isn’t so good in the society.
The other challenge was to arrange finance for the NGO in starting phase.
And there were also some personal challenges, one of them was to manage the studies and leading the Angry Youth as a president simultaneously.
He started alone but at present more than 1000 youth whether directly or indirectly are contributing with him in the social services. The vision of Angry Youth is that the capable peoples wants to help the needy ones but they don’t have a Transparent, Practical and Honest medium to approach and help them.
The NGO is working as a Medium Bridge between the two sections of society and is trying to fill the gap between the capable ones and the needy ones, so that the capable ones can reach to the needy and can help them. He named the NGO as Angry Youth because he thinks that if one wants to bring positive change in the society than he must have a Anger against the negative things existing in the society.
Anger is always the first step to be taken to bring some change and the second step can be Non violence or may be Violence depends on the need of time like the great Mahatma Gandhi and Saheed Bhagat Singh. But in present world the need of time is only Non violence and that is the path choosen by Pallu gupta and Angry Youth.
That is how the NGO got it’s name ANGRY YOUTH and it’s Slogan “THE PACIFISM LEADING BY ANGER “
