Applications are now being accepted for Google’s 2025 Startups Accelerator Africa program, which aims to assist early-stage African businesses using AI to address pressing regional issues.

Seed to Series A companies with a working product, at least one African-American entrepreneur, and a strong emphasis on responsible AI development are eligible to participate in the three-month program.

Those who are accepted will get access to a global network of partners and investors, as well as specialized technical mentoring and up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits.

Workshops on technology, strategy, leadership, and AI application will also be beneficial to participants.

Google emphasized that enabling regional innovators is essential to maximizing AI’s potential throughout the continent.

Since 2018, 140 firms from 17 different countries have received funding from the program, which has helped them raise over $300 million and generate over 3,000 jobs.
