The A3 Pro smartphone was just released by Oppo in China. Being the first low-cost smartphone to receive IP69, IP68, and IP66 certifications in recent memory, it stands out.
The Oppo A3 Pro, according to the manufacturer, is resistant to immersion in water, intense mist, and even a hot bath. Today marks the formal launch of the smartphone’s sales in China’s mainland.
Cost and Availability
Three memory variants for the Oppo A3 Pro have been released in China: 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. At 1,999 Yuan ($275), 2,199 Yuan ($300), and 2,499 Yuan (~$345), respectively, they are priced.
There are three colours to choose from: Yunjin Pink (which also has a leather back), Mountain Blue (which has a glass back), and Azure (which has a glass back). There is currently no information available on its potential global release.
Specifications of the Oppo A3 Pro
The A3 Pro is unique in that it is incredibly durable. In addition to having an IP69 rating, it is the first smartphone in China to pass a rigorous national military standard impact resistance test and receive the 5-star drop resistance certification from Swiss SGS Gold Label.
Last but not least, Oppo’s Crystal Glass covers the phone’s front and back.
The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz that is fluid. It is powered by a mid-range Dimensity 7050 chip and runs the most recent version of Android 14, with ColorOS 14 on top.
It is available in versions with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB of storage, and multitasking extendable virtual RAM. Long usage times and speedy refills are guaranteed with the 5000mAh battery’s 67W fast charging capability.
Regarding the camera, it has a dual camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has an 8MP front camera. It can record videos in 4K at 30 frames per second on the back and FHD at 30 frames per second on the front.
Additional features include a USB-C port, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G connection, and compatibility for dual SIM cards.
