In October of last year, Google unveiled the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Recently, there have been hints on the Internet regarding the Pixel 8a that suggest a May release. Prior to this, it was anticipated that the phone will launch as a mid-range option. However, a recent report suggests that the Pixel 8a may cost more than the Pixel 7a, at least in the EU. It’s anticipated to have storage capacities of 128GB and 256GB. There could be four color options available. It is rumored that the Google Tensor G3 SoC will power the Pixel 8a.

According to a German report by Winfuture.de, the base Pixel 8a model with 128GB of storage will cost EUR 570, or approximately Rs. 51,000. It is rumored that the 256GB storage variant will retail for EUR 630, or around Rs. 56,000. Should this leak prove to be accurate, the price difference from the Pixel 7a’s EUR 499 (about Rs. 45,000) launch price would be significant.

According to reports, the Pixel 8a will go on sale in the following color options: bay (light blue), mint (light green), obsidian (black), and porcelain (beige). It is possible that not all finishes will be offered for both storage options.

Notably, the Google Pixel 7a was priced at Rs. 43,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option when it was first released in India in May of last year. The Pixel 8a may face competition in the market from devices like as the OnePlus 12R, Nothing Phone 2, and Galaxy S23 FE due to the speculated price tags.

It is anticipated that Google will reveal the Pixel 8a during its May I/O event. It is rumored to have a 6.1-inch screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and to be powered by Google’s Tensor G3 SoC and 8GB of RAM. A 5,000mAh battery that supports 27W cable fast charging may come with the device. Its dimensions are reported as 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm.
