Olympique Marseille is eager to have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join their team, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Ligue 1 team is prepared to speak with Chelsea this week about the 34-year-old’s trade.

Although Aubameyang’s prime is already gone, the French club might still greatly benefit from his presence. Additionally, a transfer is a serious possibility given that the Blues are willing to sell.

When the 34-year-old was a player for Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal, he was at the height of his abilities. Prior to joining the Gunners, he was with the German club for about five years. The international from Gabon played in 163 games for the London club and assisted on 113 goals.

In the winter of 2022, he left Arsenal to join Barcelona, ending his time there. The former Dortmund striker participated in 24 games while playing in Spain and managed to assist in 14 goals.

Prior to the 2022–23 season, the 34-year-old joined Chelsea after a brief stay at Barcelona. Aubameyang’s plans, however, did not materialize as he played less than 1000 minutes and contributed to just four goals in 21 games.

The former Arsenal forward has had a dismal time at the club, and the Blues are prepared to move him since Mauricio Pochettino does not have any future ambitions for him. His contract expiring in a year makes it look like the ideal time to get rid of him and receive a respectable sum in exchange.

The team that is interested in his services is Olympique Marseille. The French team is eager to strengthen their offense and thinks Aubameyang’s arrival will be beneficial. His expertise may work wonders for them, adding goals to their ranks.

The 34-year-old’s transfer to the French club will be discussed when the Blues meet with them this week. The meetings have been planned so that the teams can come to an agreement because the player and Marseille have already agreed to a three-year contract.
