By updating its trim lineup for the Seltos and Sonet models, Kia India is continuing its explosive rise in the premium automobile segment. Five new versions have been presented by the corporation, one of which is the X-Line in a new avatar. With these upgrades, the Sonet now has 22 variations, compared to the Seltos’ 21.

Four GTX models with diesel AT and gasoline DCT drivetrain and gearbox options are among the new offerings. Notably, the Smartstream G1.0 HTK iMT edition of the Sonet now offers a turbocharged petrol engine choice for less than 10 lakh.

Solar Glass and white front and rear brake calipers are new additions to the top-tier GTX+ Selto models. In addition to the Matte Graphite option that is already available, the X-Line trim now comes with a new Aurora Black Pearl color choice that has an all-black glossy appearance. Beyond the HTX edition, the new GTX variant boasts more sophisticated features including ADAS, a sliding armrest, and a 360-degree camera.

The improvements for the Sonet lineup concentrate on giving the cheaper trims of the vehicle access to contemporary features like ISOFIX, a wireless phone charging, rear wipers and washers, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The value proposition of the GT Line trims in the Sonet is further improved with the launch of GTX versions.

Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, commented on the new introductions, saying, “Kia’s success in India has been largely attributed to its constant evolution and customer centricity.” Our goal is to provide our clients with the newest features, technology, and the most value possible, and these product improvements are a part of that strategy. The launch of GTX trims will keep our clients up to date on the newest advancements in automotive technology in addition to offering the excitement of operating a GT line. Other products, such the black-themed X-Line and the turbocharged petrol Sonet under 10 lakh, guarantee that our clients have the most options without sacrificing their goals.”
