Today, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) declared that the Creta has sold one million units in India, marking a new milestone. The five-seater, which debuted in 2015, is one of the main vehicles that helped establish the midsize SUV market and has led the category in terms of sheer volume for the past eight years.

When the second generation Creta, which was based on the iX25, was introduced in the beginning of 2020, it continued the tradition by setting sales records. In India, a Creta is sold every five minutes due to volume, and a few weeks ago, the local debut of the facelifted model with significant internal and external changes took place.

Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., commented on the significant achievement, saying, “Hyundai CRETA has been a brand that has captured the hearts of Indian customers and made India ‘Live the SUV life.'” Now that there are more than a million CRETA vehicles on Indian roads, the “CRETA” brand has maintained its reputation as the Undisputed SUV. We are incredibly appreciative of our clients’ love and faith in CRETA.

Over 60,000 bookings for the Hyundai Creta 2024 have already been made in India. The interior has grown more upscale and feature-rich, while the exterior is based on the newest Sensuous Sportiness concept. A new 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a maximum power output of 160 PS and a peak torque of 253 Nm has been added to the lineup. It comes with a seven-speed DCT.

The most popular SUV in India is one of the main models for the company both domestically and internationally, with cumulative sales of over 10 lakh units in the home market and over 2.80 lakh units exported. The base version of the Hyundai Creta now costs Rs. 10.99 lakh, while the top-spec trim costs Rs. 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument dashboard, six airbags, a number of other standard safety features, Level 2 ADAS, and much more are included in the equipment list.
