RUNNING EVENTS

In the 400 metres, Gavin Alson defeated Fort Campbell’s Maurice Moore, the reigning Class A state champion. Alston beat Moore’s time by.38 seconds with a school record time of 49.47 seconds. Additionally, it beat Keion Brown’s 49.51 school record mark from the 2018 state meet.

In the 200-meter dash, Alston set a new personal record with a time of 22.51 seconds, good for fourth place and sixth best in school history.

In both hurdle events, Ian Rossario won hands-down. He won the 110-meter hurdles in a timing that was personal best for him. His timing was 15.22 seconds.It is the second-fastest in school history, finishing 39 seconds ahead of Fort Campbell’s Sam Atoubi. In the 1981 state meet, Leslie Johnson scored a 14.87.

with addition, he won the 300-meter hurdles with a time that was sixth fastest in school history—a personal best of 41.29 seconds.

In the 3200-meter run, Tyson Cavinder finished in fourth position with a new personal best time of 11:07.23.

In 44.81 seconds, Keyshun Teal finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles.

In 52.30 seconds, Iriel Leak finished seventh in the 400-meter sprint, setting a personal best for the senior. At 23.60 seconds, he set a personal record in the 200-meter dash and finished in tenth place.

Elijah Reid finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a lifetime best timing of 16.97 seconds.

Lamareon Jeffers ran a season-best 2:18.55 to finish 17th in the 800-meter sprint.

James Bradley ran a personal best time of 11.73 seconds to finish 21st in the 100-meter sprint.

In 11.73 seconds, Treston Kay finished 22nd in the 100 metres, setting a personal best for the youngster.

RELAYS

Second place went to the 800-meter relay team of Ian Rossario, Treston Kay, Keyshun Teal, and Gavin Alston, who ran a season-best time of 1:31.12. In the school’s history, their time ranked third fastest.

James Bradley, Elijah Reid, Keyshun Teal, and Treston Kay finished fourth in the 400-meter relay in a time that was a season record of 45.26 seconds.

Gavin Alston, Ian Rossario, Ireal Leak, and Keyshun Teal placed fifth in 3:42.47 for their 1600-meter relay team.

With a time of 9:12.31, Tyson Cavinder, Jaylon Davis, Lamareon Jeffers, and Jayon Bass placed eighth in the 3200-meter relay.

FIELD EVENTS

At 123-03, Davian Simon finished seventh in the discus throw.

Treston Kay finished sixth in the 39-05 triple jump.

James Bradley placed 16th in the high jump by clearing 5-2.

In the shot put, Alden Marshall finished in 17th place with a season-best throw of 33-06.50.

Devin Coleman placed sixteenth (107-09) in the discus throw and eighteenth (33-04) in the shot put.

Hopkinsville scored 66 points to place sixth overall as a team.
