The Nothing Phone 2a will shortly be unveiled in India by Nothing, the UK firm run by Carl Pei. A leaked render of the phone has appeared online ahead of its official release, revealing several important design elements. The Glyph Interface may be absent from a redesigned back panel for the Nothing Phone 2a. The rear of Nothing’s Phone 1 and Phone 2 mobile phones is equipped with the customizable Glyph Interface. This array of LEDs can be made to light up for notifications and calls.

Tipster Steve H.McFly (@onleaks) revealed the reported render of the Nothing Phone 2a in association with Smartprix. The render shows the phone from the back, with a redesigned white rear panel that appears to lack the Glyph interface and Nothing’s customizable LED array. This would be the company’s first smartphone without the Glyph interface. It does seem to have a transparent rear panel, though.

In addition, compared to the Phone 1 and Phone 2, the Nothing Phone 2a seems to feature a different camera setup. In the top-left corner, two camera lenses are visible arranged vertically. The bottom line lacks of any regulatory and branding indicators.

A Glyph interface and several camera configurations might set the Phone 2a apart from the Nothing Phone 1 and Phone 2.

Later this month, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, Nothing Phone 2a is anticipated to make its formal debut. Under the code name Aerodactyl, the phone may make its debut as a mid-ranger. It is confirmed to use some of the features from the Nothing Phone 2 from the previous year and will be available in India through Flipkart. In comparison to the Nothing Phone 1, the phone is supposed to offer an improved experience.

We have learned about the majority of the significant features that Nothing Phone 2a will offer us over the last few weeks. It is anticipated to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and Android 13. A 50-megapixel Samsung GN9 sensor and a 50-megapixel JN1 camera are reportedly part of the back camera configuration. A 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 front camera may be included. It is reportedly offered in white and black hues.
