Richa Chadha is currently filming Six Suspects, a film adaptation of the acclaimed Vikas Swarup novel of the same name. To familiarize himself with the murder-plagued universe, the actor devoured the book before reporting on the shooting with his co-star Pratik Gandhi.
The series, starring Tigmanshu Dhulia, hit the platforms in late February. Inspired by true events, the Disney + Hotstar series will take a look at the premise of contemporary India through its six central characters. The actor says that he liked how Swapna made a big statement through the plot. Enriched with culture, the book was an interesting read. I found its conflicting views on India today enjoyable.”
Pratik was last seen in the SonyLIV’s acclaimed Scam 1992 series. Pratik, who was best known to Gujarati movie-watching audiences, became an all-India star with his portrayal of controversial stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Aside from Six Suspects, Pratik has a comedy film with Taapsee Pannu titled Woh Ladakhi Hai Kahan?, which is being produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, and will be releasing next year.
It is also Gandhi and Chadha’s first collaboration. Chadha was newly seen on the big screen in this year’s Madam Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Gandhi will appear in the upcoming investigative comedy Woh Ladki Hai Kahan?
