The representative took aim at the US’s decision to station nuclear submarines on the Korean Peninsula, claiming that this will “bring regional military tension to a more critical state and may incite the worst crisis of nuclear conflict”. The attempt to use such submarines, according to Pyongyang, is a “grave threat and challenge to regional and global peace and security” and the “most undisguised nuclear blackmail against” North Korea and its neighbors.
