Before graduation, usually students are worried about their jobs, careers ahead. Look for the opportunity you want. But in this era of competition, Abhinay Chepuri, a BTech (Computer Science) final year student of Lovely Professional University, was worried about other youngsters who have skills, but due to lack of adequate training, they do not get the opportunity. Keeping this in mind, Abhinaya has started a Chmek It Memorable (MIM) startup, which has made its mark in a short span of time. For this, he has been awarded the Youngest Innovative Entrepreneur Award. Prior to this, he received the title of Emerging Entrepreneur Award (2019) and Youngest Ideal Entrepreneur (2018) from SWI International.

SAI Abhinay Chepuri, who hails from a small village in Telangana, saw how rural youth, despite their ability and skills, do not get opportunities to move forward. After this, he thought of creating a platform, with the help of which the skills of the skilled youth could be enhanced and given a new direction. Abhinaya says, through MIM’s Venture, we have targeted the youth in the field of photography and videography, who have skills but are not educated. Due to this, they have to face many difficulties in getting a job. In such a situation, the faculty trains the youth. We organize events in association with corporates. After this, they are hired by the companies. With the help of the University Faculty, more than 40 youths have been provided jobs so far. Their annual average package is around Rs.5.5 lakhs.

Assuming the farmers to Enviropromise: Acting, they got a lot of exposure to networking etc. while assuming the responsibility of Student Placement Co-ordinator in the college. He was able to establish contacts with various voluntary organizations apart from corporates. Coming from a rural and business background, Abhinaya has spent a lot of time in the fields in childhood. This gives them an idea of the problems facing the farmers. He explains, I have started a startup called enviropromise, Through which farmers are informed about the latest technology. Students of the College’s Department of Agriculture go to different areas of Punjab and encourage farmers to take up organic farming, by informing them about modern methods of farming. Apart from Punjab, this project has started in Telangana as well. So far more than 40 farmers have been made aware of urban farming techniques. Their product is also helped to reach the market. He has also developed an app (Freshspouts), which informs farmers about new techniques (zero budget recommendations), fertilizers, seeds etc. Also, they are able to buy and sell their product.

Beginning with Zero Investment: So far sai Abhinay has operated Enviropromise from Zero Investment. Everyone manages like a one man army. But the faculty, voluntary organizations and corporates along with the college’s associate students help them at every turn. Revealing his further intentions, he explains, “I will work in the startup ecosystem even further. I want to make everyone aware about innovation, re-cycling innovation, waste regeneration, etc. to be held in rural areas.
