Alongside the Galaxy M15 5G, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is expected to launch in India soon. The phones’ anticipated release in the nation has already been hinted at, and Amazon has verified that they are available there. The smartphones’ debut date in India has now been revealed. In addition, Samsung revealed the phone’s color choices and a few important specifications, including as the chipset, camera, display, battery life, and charging features. Interestingly, the phones were just released in a few international countries.
The Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G’s Amazon microsites both state that the phones will go on sale in India on April 8 at 12 p.m. IST. The websites also highlight a number of the phones’ most important features. While the Galaxy M15 5G is expected to be available in three color options—Blue Topaz, Celestine Blue, and Stone Grey—the Galaxy M55 5G will only be available in Denim Black and Light Green in the nation.
The Galaxy M55 5G in India is expected to have a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness level of 1,000 nits, along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It will have Vision Booster technology, which is meant to improve screen visibility even in direct sunlight. A 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W cable fast charging will power the phone.
The Galaxy M55 5G will have three cameras on its back, one of which will be a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is confirmed that the phone would have a 50-megapixel front camera sensor for taking pictures and making videos. Along with AI-powered tools like Image Clipper and Object Eraser, it will incorporate Nightography.
In contrast, the Galaxy M15 5G will have a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display along with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor. A 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit will also be included. A 6,000mAh battery that is supposed to provide up to two days of use for the phone will power it.
It has also been verified that Samsung’s Knox Security is a feature of both the Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G models, with the former also including Samsung Wallet.
According to an earlier leak, the 8GB + 128GB edition of the Galaxy M55 5G would start at Rs. 26,999 in India, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants may cost Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 32,999, respectively. The 4GB + 128GB model of the Galaxy M15 5G is expected to cost Rs. 13,499, while the 6GB + 128GB version is expected to cost Rs. 14,999.
