Anubhav Singh Bassi, a comedian with a big fan base, has made his Bollywood debut in Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, directed by Luv Ranjan. In the film, the comedian portrayed the part of Ranbir Kapoor’s friend. Bassi claimed that the actor had the comic’s portions cut from the film, however the comedian has since addressed this.

Anubhav Bassi was asked about his claim that Ranbir Kapoor purposefully cut his scenes from the film in a recent interview with India TV. He responded, “It was nothing, actually Luv sir has put a short part of my role in the trailer so I was jokingly saying it to him that you cut my scenes from the movie. We had to come up with a theme to make ourselves laugh while waiting for the trailer to be released, so we decided to play along with this and continue to blame each other while improvising at the appropriate moment. That is what took place.

While Anubhav Singh Bassi made his film debut with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir Kapoor had two back-to-back releases the previous year, including the critically acclaimed Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukherji. He will next be seen in the gangster drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which also has Rashmika Mandana, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in key roles. The movie is slated to hit theatres on August 11 and the audience will get to experience Ranbir in a different persona.
