By Samarth Shrivastava and Tanseem Haider: On Wednesday, a police report (FIR) was filed in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, against Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, Gauri Khan.
Gauri has been charged with criminal breach of trust in accordance with section 409 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
Jaswant Shah, a resident of Mumbai, filed the case, alleging that the company—for which Gauri served as the brand ambassador—failed to deliver the apartment despite charging Rs 86 lakh. According to the lawsuit, the apartment in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City neighborhood’s Tulsiyani Golf View was given to another person.
Anil Kumar Tulsiyani, the CMD of Tulsiyani Construction and Development Limited, and Mahesh Tulsiyani, the company’s director, were both named in the complaint in addition to Gauri.
The complainant said he bought the flat after being influenced by brand ambassador Gauri Khan.
