In many ways, Kathleen Wrigley is well-known in Minnesota. She is a writer, a public speaker, a health/child advocacy advocate, a counselor, a professor, a parent, and the former second lady of North Dakota. However, this past weekend, she became Taylor Swift’s mom’s latest gal pal.

Although the term “gal pal” may be overstated, the two women undoubtedly enjoyed some mom-bonding at Andrea Swift’s daughter’s concert in Minneapolis on Friday, which culminated in Swift sharing a meal of hot dogs from a concession stand with Kathleen and her entire Bismarck crew.

It was a little surreal. Wrigley stated, “I’m not going to lie.”

Wrigley’s “surreal” night of “Girls’ Weekend” got off as it did for the 120,000 or so other fans who decided to try to get tickets to see one of music’s biggest stars at Swift’s concerts on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Wrigley had previously attended her Fargo concert once, but her daughters begged her to go back.

Harper and Quinn both said, “Mom, it’s a girl’s weekend.” We got to do this!'” Wrigley declared.

It took very little convincing.

I truly enjoy Taylor Swift. She said, “She just is such a great example for girls, women, and young women, and I really did want to go with them.”

They were lucky enough to get “wonderful seats” in the eighth row because they were dedicated to computer surfing on ticket sale day, clicking and refreshing multiple times.

Wrigley, Quinn, who is 22 years old, and Harper, who is 15 years old, left their Bismarck homes to attend the sold-out performance. Kathleen’s better half and Quinn and Harper’s father is Drew Wrigley, North Dakota’s lieutenant lead representative from 2010 to 2016 and the ongoing principal legal officer for North Dakota.)

Harper’s friends attended the concert with the Wrigleys; Like Harper, Tarynn Backman, Katie Kusler, and Maddie Miller attend Shiloh Christian School in Bismarck as incoming sophomores.

Wrigley called the concert a “fan-fulfilling concert” because the seats were so close to a canopy where Taylor Swift’s parents were said to be.

It is said that Andrea Swift attends most, if not all, of Taylor’s performances, and Minneapolis was no exception.

“Immediately prior to Taylor Swift’s performance, hordes of fans were swarming our section. Harper and her friends are trying to see what’s going on from the chairs. Harper responded, “I bet it’s her mom.” Wrigley said, “So lo and behold, it seemed like her mom was sitting near us.”

She didn’t give it much thought and just enjoyed what Star Tribune critic John Beam called an “unbelievable show” that “may be the most fan-fulfilling show I’ve ever seen in 48 years of reviewing.”

Wrigley agrees.

“Not only can’t I believe how insanely talented she is, but also how strong she is. Yeah. She performed 44 songs. 17 different outfits. I was floored!” Wrigley declared.

But the night for Wrigley and the Bismarck fans was about to reach new heights.

Meeting Tay-Tay’s mother Kathleen and Quinn went to the bathroom near the show’s conclusion. They saw Andrea Swift on their way back to their seats.

As a result, when I waved at her, one security guard told me, “No, no, you can’t stop.” Wrigley stated, “They don’t talk to anyone when she’s on stage.”

Another security guard, on the other hand, was more gentle: “I said, “I really want to get a picture with my daughter and her mom, but I don’t want to intrude or be rude.” He responded, “Well, I’m not going to stop you.” This is an opportunity of a lifetime.’ I then stated, “You know what? “The only dumb question is the one not asked,” my dad used to always say to me. Therefore, I will inquire,” Wrigley recalled.

Andrea Swift responded to the jovial Bismarck mom after Wrigley got her attention.

I said, “I just want to say hello from my mother’s heart to your mother’s heart” as she began her descent. Wrigley stated, “I’m a mother, and I can’t even imagine how proud you are.”

Mama Swift appeared to have been moved by that bond between mothers.

“She said ‘Wow I want to give you an embrace!’ She also gave me a full embrace. Wrigley stated, “I was in shock and kind of choked up by how kind and approachable and normal she was.” “Our arms were fully wrapped around each other.” merely a regular mom.”

If Harper and her friends didn’t run away, Kathleen would never forgive them, Kathleen told Quinn. Harper and her friends ran when they heard about Kathleen’s brief encounter with Swift’s greatness, and it turns out that Harper wasn’t surprised by what her mother had done.

She declared, “I knew it.” I anticipated your approach to her! Wrigley stated, “She just knows me.”

Wrigley says the young ladies were wailing when they met the one who brought forth their #1 genius. They had their picture covered in the vibrant friendship bracelets that Taylor’s fans exchange at concerts.
