The antagonist in Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be played by Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film’s producers announced on Wednesday. The film, which will launch an action franchise, is a sequel to David Dhawan’s 1998 smash hit Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. The upcoming feature is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, best known for Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat and web-series Tandav.

Zafar expressed excitement about collaborating with Sukumaran on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The director said in a statement that casting such a powerful performer for this action entertainer would be “amazing experience.”

Sukumaran, who will play Kabir in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, expressed his excitement about joining the action movie.

“I’m honoured to work with such an incredible team, including @akshaykumar, @iTIGERSHROFF, @vashubhagnani, @aliabbaszafar, @jackkybhagnani, @honeybhagnani, @iHimanshuMehra, @poojafilms, and @AAZFILMZ. Dream team! “Sukumaran, whose most recent Hindi movie was 2017’s Naam Shabana, tweeted.

“The addition of Prithviraj Sukumaran to the cast of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is amazing. He serves as the movie’s antagonist, which increases the suspense “producer Jackky Bhagnani added.
