Sourav Ganguly, Ravi Shastri, and Harbhajan Singh criticised Rohit Sharma for his pitiful leadership on Day 1 of the World Test Championship final against Australia. The Australian team scored 327/3 during the day, with Travis Head leading the way with 146.

Steve Smith was there as well, having scored 95 runs against average bowling. Ravichandran Ashwin’s omission infuriated Ganguly, who believed that a bowler with more over 400 Test wickets should have been allowed to play.

He also criticised Rohit’s captaincy for not adequately utilising their bowlers.

Harbhajan Singh criticised the Indian captain’s defensive field placements and suggested that he could have attacked the opposition harder to get wickets.
